The 83rd Annual Academy Awards 2011: Nominations List

Ajang penghargaan tertinggi bagi insan perfilman dunia, Academy Awards, mulai mengumumkan list nominasi lengkapnya pada pukul 08.38 AM (Selasa, 25 Januari 2011) waktu setempat. Oscar, begitu ajang penganugerahan ini biasa disebut, telah memasuki tahun ke-83 di 2011 ini dengan begitu banyak kejutan-kejutan menarik yang banyak digunjingkan oleh beberapa kalangan di dunia maya bahkan saat pengumuman belum usai. Munculnya nama Javier Bardem (Biutiful) di jajaran nominasi Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role dan tidak ditemukannya nama Christopher Nolan (Inception) di daftar nominasi Best Achievement in Directing menjadi yang paling hangat dibicarakan kala itu.

Kehebohan pun masih berlanjut. The King’s Speech patut menjadi yang paling berbahagia pagi itu sebagai peraih nominasi terbanyak sekaligus membuka kesempatan untuk meraih gelar Best Picture tahun ini dengan menyabet 12 nominasi dari 24 nominasi keseluruhan. Mengekor tepat di belakangnya dengan perolehan sebanyak 10 nominasi adalah True Grit, kemudian diikuti oleh Inception dan The Social Network yang dsama-sama memboyong 8 nominasi.

Malam puncak The 83rd Annual Academy Awards 2011 akan digelar oleh the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), sebagai pihak penyelenggara, di The Kodak Theatre at Hollywood and Highland Center pada Minggu, 27 Februari 2011 pukul 08.00 PM waktu setempat. You are invited!!!
